2014 hasn't been good to Malaysia.
From air-crash to flood, millions of Malaysians lost their homes and some, lost their loved ones.
2 air-crash (MH17 & the most recent one QZ8501) and 1 missing flight (MH370), help from around the world just dropped in. Sending their best ships and air crafts, putting out their best people to search for miracle in the middle of the sea.
Help is also dropping in for all the flood victims (which is currently happening at the East Coast Malaysia). From food to donations to electrical appliances sending out from all over the country to those affected areas.
Earlier this week, while I was on my way home I saw an old Indian man lying on the middle of the road with his motorcycle crashed on his legs. It was a rainy day, traffic was rather packed as that was the time when everyone rushing their way home.
My guess is the Indian uncle slipped. My heart told me to pull over and at least shelter him with an umbrella, but my brain was telling me that I am not brave enough to handle this situation.
I drove passed the old man. Without second thoughts, I picked up my phone and called the ambulance. Till this day, I couldn't get the image of that uncle lying there helpless out of my head.
I've been through a battle with the reaper when I was 8. It was an accident and my forehead kinda got blew off by the window. Until today, I still feel thankful to that anonymous person who was willing to pull over and drove me to the nearest hospital. I felt like I owe him my life and I pray that this good man and his family will forever be bless.
It is at difficult times when we see humanity and restore the faith to it. There are part of the people who are heartless, but there are still a lot good people out there who are willing to reach out to the unfortunates.
It's been a rough year for Malaysians. Too many accidents and natural disaster. RIP to all deceased, may God bless your soul; and stay strong to the livings.
My resolution for 2015? It's simple.
Spend more time with the ones I love, care more, help more.
Travel to learn instead of just to see.
Lower down the temper level, stay positive.
Please be good 2015. Bless Malaysia, bless the earth, bless human beings.
