What kind of music does the radio station have to offer nowadays? After so many years of listening to the same rhythm and lyrics, to be honest I got bored. Sometimes, I choose to drive without radio throughout my way to work rather than to listen to the same old music.
The problem with the current music is that they tend to make it more complicated to attract listeners. Putting some contemporary songs into a remix version, or making up some ridiculous lyrics, like “Brush my teeth with a bottle of Jack”, seriously?!
But today, I found myself some good music. Check out these self associates American singer/song-writer - David Choi, Kina Grannis & Clara Chung. I personally think that they write the best songs, way more better than what the radio stations have for me these days.
These are a few of my personal favorite songs from these talented singers. I could just hit on the repeat mode on my mp3 and listen to the same song the whole day.
Stars falling down - Kina Grannis
Valentine - Kina Grannis (thanks to a freind who shared this in Facebook a few days ago)
Missing piece - David Choi
Darling it's you - David Choi (ft. Clara.C)
Offbeat - Clara.C
Good music doesn't mean it needs super advanced sound system or super fancy CD covers; and obviously ridiculous lyrics don’t really make good music at all.
Try clicking on all (well, maybe not all, one of it will be fine too) links. Not only you will hear the difference, but also see the difference in their self-made music video. Now that's what I call true music!
Sometimes, simplicity is all it takes to create beautiful things including music.
